    Shock Therapy, care to reconsider?
Here is the issue with the argument you were trying to make (and apparently still are): This voting proves that Randy Rosetta is a poor voter, nothing else. With WSU at 14, he is proving that he is unwilling to give WSU full credit for recent accomplishments. It doesn't matter if we're talking about OU, or KU, or Syracuse, he's going to find a way to inflate their ranking relative to WSU at every turn. Their winning or losing has a muted impact. And if one particular team accrues too many losses, he'll just pick another one to replace them in front of WSU.

OU is 1 spot behind WSU on this guy's ballot despite losing to Creighton. There is no reason to assume anything other than he would have had OU in front of WSU has OU won. Therefore the OU/Creighton game had a direct impact on atleast 1 voter's ranking of WSU this week. You can't get much more straightforward proof that Shock Therapy was wrong.

Beyond that, you can spare me the paranoid thinking that this guy is out to get WSU. So he doesn't rank WSU as high as you or I do. That doesn't mean he's out to get them and is going to "find a way" to stick it to WSU each week. If the teams around WSU lose and WSU keeps winning, even this goofball Rosetta will move WSU up in his ranks.

        • LOL

I just found the info I was looking for.

Last week Randy Rosetta had OU 12 and WSU 19.
This week Randy Rosetta had OU 15 and WSU 14.

Yes, continue telling me that Creighton game had no bearing on WSU's poll votes this week. LOL.

You're missing the point. My point is in contention of your last sentence. The game did not have impact on where he voted WSU. It had impact on where he voted OU. Those two items are different.

At some point (and I'm not saying when, but I feel like 38 of 39 is AT LEAST getting close), it probably becomes a little less about 'paranoia' of a fan, and a little more about 'stupidity' of a voter.

I think WSU is better than KU and would vote them higher if I were part of the polls.

              Good try though.

Check post #126 and then tell me that you still believe that. WSU would have been 15 (instead of 14) on his ballot had OU won as he would have kept OU higher. Instead, OU lost and he moved WSU in front of them.

Pleased you recognize the Shockers are the better team, for this season anyway as I do not think the Beakers are going to morph into a superior team this season.

So, only losses lead to a team being jumped? Your 'very clear assumptions' are becoming less clear. Iowa State would like to know what happened.

No, losses are not the only thing that leads to a team being jumped. I never said they were.

This is downright hilarious. OU was 7 spots ahead in this guy's poll. They lost a game and are 1 spot behind WSU this week. All I'm saying is that had OU won, they would have stayed ahead of WSU. OU's loss had a direct impact on WSU's ranking by this guy.

How much more simple can it get?

                            • My mistake. I'm glad WSU moved up, into the Top 10 in both polls today. Exciting times.

                              • It's getting dangerously close to some 30 sec time outs, or some permanent ejections. If you are picking up what I'm throwing down.
