Well said, shizzle. Talent is great, but Marshall's recruits (Ron Baker? Cleanthony Early?) obviously don't lack talent; it just hasn't been recognized, developed, and refined yet under the media microscope. And because he's also a good judge of players' mindsets -- what baseball people call makeup -- e has a knack for recruiting guys with talent AND the attitude you describe of wanting to get better and prove something. Plus, having writers repeat this sort of conventional wisdom is a good way to ensure (not that they need any help) that Marshall and his coaches are just as committed as the players are to showing everybody what WSU's underappreciated program can accomplish.

This kind of stuff is what the Shockers eat for breakfast, and it's why they do what they do these days.

Absolutely. The three keys to success; Organization, Preparation, Dedication, always win.

Call me crazy but I still think #11 is too low for this team. I guess were about to find out.

What is the point of a top 50 recruit if not to produce final fours and undefeated seasons? Okay, so what was their point again?

One more point: Which is better, recruiting an undiscovered "regular" player and transforming him into one of the best players in the game or recruiting a high level player and just helping him live up to his hype? Which one implies the more talented coach? Marshall's players LEAVE as top 50 players. It matters a whole lot less how they arrived.
Re: High level player - And leave, after one season.

I think anywhere from 10-15 is about right at this point. Once our newcomers in the post get acclimated to D1, I hope we're looking at a top 6 or 7 team.
