It took 34-0 to get a 1 seed last season. 33-1 may or may not have been enough. Since 34-0 was never done before, it's hard to think it will be repeated (but I'm putting nothing past 3G and his Shocker Warriors).
The Valley was awful last season but a few teams played some decent competition. Our schedule wasn't the toughest but didn't have much deadweight. Still, Tennessee State, ORU and DePaul don't help you come seeding time.
This season will be an upgrade with a decent tourney (X3), Tulsa, St. Louis, Memphis, Alabama, Detroit, Utah, Seton Hall and 1 yet to be determined.
Will the rest of the Valley help out with a combination of wins and decent scheduling to swim in our wake, or will they continue to be a rock anchor?
List and discuss.
