  • Looking ahead: Senior night

Stoned update: In this thread, we can start talking about our favorite moments from PJ, Matty, Lance and Phil. Oh, you can't use the buzzer beater winning shot against CU at home 2 years ago for Matt. If that isn't a favorite moment of yours, I don't even want to know you.

If I live to senior night next week, I will hang my head high as a shocker fan.

Here is the deal: Everyone knows this team has issues. To be brash, they suck. BUT SO WHAT?

REMEMBER FOLKS this is just a game. The sun does not rise and set on athletics. So that means if for some reason you harbor resentment against any players then you need to check yourself before you wreck yourself.

So in this thread, I want to say that everything is forgotten come senior night. I don't want to see an empty seat in CKA. If you don't like bad basketball, leave before the tip. I don't blame you. But if you have ever had one moment of joy from WSU, you owe these seniors a standing O.

This year is about over, next year is next year, and I swear to the all mightys on high (X, The Rave, Etc.) that if one person tries to thread poop this thread, I will personally seek you out and cough on you AND KILL YOU. I'm not even kidding. Yes, I went internet tough guy there. But I have the germ warfare to back it up. I will go conquistador on you. Every other thread has more than enough room for you but not this one.

    SO SAY WE ALL

This thread was brought to you by Zicam, Ny Quil, Tylenol + Codine, a 106F temperature, and the heart of a fan.

Remember all that Matt, PJ, Phil and Lance have given to this program. Particularly Matt and PJ, who were essential pieces in the Sweet 16 puzzle (Paul, Kyle, Karon, and lest we forget Sean were all incredibly important that year too of course).

To me, those things are more than enough to make it a must-see game.

I remember the spark that MB, PJ and SO would provide from the bench. Turgeon would sub all 3 of them in at the same time and you could feel the buzz when all of them ran off the bench.

Them running out of eligibility makes me sad, I never would've thought it would end like this, 3-11 in conference and Sean Ogirri riding horses in Wyoming.

Rosey...you sound like my friggin dad and I'm 41?

I appreciate what you're doing though...my favorite PJ moment was when he hit those big threes at the end of the Tennessee game...

As a soph....man he had some oversized nads!

Don't get me started... I agree completely.

I wouldn't miss the game for the world though for those same reasons.

Do you remember this guy supporting the Shox during their tourney run?

                  Favorite moments, hmm...:

Even though this one isn't entirely of Cooz:

"It's intercepted and in the hands of Couisnard! Couisnard to Martin for the dunk! Wichita State is going to the Sweet Sixteen!"

That's definitely one of mine, and of course the one posted in the OP.

The immortal words of Kennedy engrained in all of our heads forever. I just hope it won't be another 20 years before we hear things like that again.

Ok--there's my 2 seconds of pessimism. We're gonna get better in a hurry starting next year. Ya just can't keep WU down for very long.

Senior night will be grand. As always, the place will be jam- packed. You can also count on that FSF will be there with bells on. We are now in the valley--of the Valley, but our day will come where we again rise up to the mountain top. That is a guarantee!!!!!!!

TY to our 4 Seniors. MB has had a solid year and this would have been awful without him. His Creighton clutch shots, leadership, and his intestional fortitude will always be remembered. PJ had a very nice all-around game and my best memory of him was the Tennesse game. PT is remembered in the Syracuse game at the Dome last year having a solid game against a tough team. LH gave us some nice minutes this year at a time where it was very much needed. I wish you all the very best always and may God bless and keep each and every one of you.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

What about when PJ blocked POB to seal the win over Bradley in ot. For MB and PJ, the ally oop from half court against LSU this season.
Marge: The plant called and said that if you don't come in tomorrow, don't bother coming in Monday.
                        Homer: WOOHOO! Four day weekend.
