  • Best Returning Shooting Guards

I think you can guess at least one of them:

This week ESPN.com will feature a position-by-position look at players to watch for the 2014-15 season. The term "shooting guard" has never been so meaningless.

He's not only listed first, but listed first among a strong contingent of elite schools. This article isn't one of those feel good articles trying give some props to "mid majors".

Who didn't open that article not expecting mention of Baker?
I'm sure you've all heard that "success breeds success". WSU fans are witnessing that now. Its no surprise, just embrace it.

It appers the Shox may have one of the top returning SG's and PG's. And I'm not convinced either is that much (if at all) better than Cotton.

I think our backcourt is pretty well settled and solid. I'd like to take this opportunity to remind Shocker fans that Morris was the MVP of the TX/OK All-Stars game coming out of HS. Against the best HS players out of Texas and Oklahoma, Morris was the MVP. Morris was also a top-150 guy out of HS by some scouting services.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

One would have to think that, out of the recruiting class coming in, at least ONE of these big guys is going to be extremely good. I have a really hard time believing none of them are. Obviously, they are all projected to be high quality players, but I have a a really good feeling that a couple of them are going to be not only good, but like Ron, Fred & TKO good.

I'm thinking about the list of guys we are about to get. This is about to get really fun...as if it wasn't already.

I second your Shaq outlook. Coach told us he thought Cle took a while to adjust in practice and then he came out and owned everybody for 2 years. Well, coach has said some things about Shaq, but I'm gonna go ahead and say that it was constructive criticism and Shaq is about to come out and own everybody.

I loved it after the loss to Kentucky, Shaq tweeted "Shirt is off, game on!"

Makes little difference to me whether Shaq can talk the talk. What's important is can he walk the walk. Looking forward to finding that out.

The beauty of the redshirt is that it forces them to watch with no expectations and really learn what has to be done to be effective. I hope both he and Rian come out swinging.

I'm not at all worried about Shaq. He's already tough as nails.

Reading that story in the Eagle a while back about Fred telling Shaq he needs to work much harder or else he doesn't want him as a team mate made me ready to see Shaq play. It mentioned how he took Fred's words very seriously and started putting in a ton of extra work. Even missed a few road games to stay back in Wichita and train.

Proof that Fred truly makes everyone on his team better.
