I don't think the irritable bowl syndrome you have because you are a mizzou fan means anything other than u have made the wrong choice in programs. Marshall is not going to mizzou.

The talk around Mizzou fans is that he has been approached, but due to the Matt Painter fiasco we had in our last search, secrecy is being adhered to. Not trolling, but how do you know he hasn't interviewed?

Let's be clear here Kilgore: The ONLY talk concerning Marshall and MU has been on MU forums, and by a local (to Wichita) columnist who is essentially an internet troll with a job masquerading at a newspaper day job.

If you want to run with either one of those "sources" then that is your prerogative, but don't be surprised when reality has nothing to do with hopeful speculation paraded by MU fans online (and even then, only a special, reality-detached few of that subset itself).

Well, speaking only for myself, I think we're going to get great coach no matter who it is. Truly, this stuff is fun to discuss and speculate on. I wish Frank Haith nothing but success at Tulsa, but we are very glad he's gone. We took a chance on him in the wake of Matt Painter changing his mind, but it just didn't pay off for us, so here we are.

The rumor among NC State fans was that Marshall was theirs for the taking if they would've given him a good offer. No idea if that part is true, but based off media reports I think we can definitely say he interviewed and an offer was made.

He DID interview with NC State and an offer was made. Based on where he was with WSU at the time I remember it being a very good offer too. I think there were other factors involved that kept him from leaving. He saw NC State as a rebuild for one but he was extremely high on the class he had coming in as well. He felt that class (VanVleet, Baker, Early) was his best recruiting class ever. I'd say he made the right choice.

Kilgore is the guy who has said that Marshall to Mizzou is a done deal. My initial comments were that I didn't know anything, and I don't. I'm just a fan. I have no proof that Marshall has even interviewed, which is why I said only that it is being talked about. Not all of us are trolls trying to make people feel bad. I think Marshall is a great coach and you guys have a great program no matter what that you have every right to be proud and protective about, and your future looks great.
