  • Record prediction for next year

Obviously a ton can change from now and when the season starts next year, but what are your guys predictions for wins and loses next year? With the way the roster currently looks, I would say we will probably have somewhere around 3-5 losses headed into march madness. I think cold shooting nights and going up against experienced bigs could cost us a game here and there next season. So I guess I'll say we will be 30-4 headed to the dance. All this could change if we land the right big man with our last scholarship though!

          In that case: 50-0

That would be beyond amazing, but I wouldn't put money on it. I think the Valley is going to take a major step forward. I think evansville, missouri state, southern illinois, and northern iowa will all take steps forward. I think indiana state will only take a small step back.

The big question is how much of going 35-0 had to do with Cle.

I really do think 5 losses or less is going to be the ballpark for next year.

I'm VERY interested to see what this hot recruiting class can do. You're already going to be a very good team with FreshVV, Ron, TKO, Evan & Legendarius... Really good. By the way, that lineup wins the Valley even as undersized as it would be (just probably not undefeated). If anyone else can play ball, its going to be a great year yet again.

I'm kind of interested to see how they fill the schollie opened up with Derail Green's departure. That could have some impact on the outlook for next season.

Remember the NIT National Championship at the Garden? Hatch and Stutz lead us and took the Big Apple by storm!!! Then a solid improved Season where we win the Valley race but we lose to VCU at the Dance. Then there was the Season that we were to finish 4th in this here Valley Of Death, but we make the Final 4 instead, thank you very much. Then we set a National record at 35-0, that if ever broken, it will be a long, long, long, time. So now what? 3G has improved what we do every solitary Season, but how do you improve upon 35-0? Dunno, but bring us in 1 special big to go what we have returning and something epic will still again occur next Season. I can't wait to see who we sign as our Assistant Coach and another recruit or two. If I was a really good big and wanted to have a big year, why not go black and yellow with the "3 headed monsta point guards" with reinforcements like never before feeding you the rock in opportune spots? Actually, this could be our deepest team ever next Season? Stay tuned because next week fills in the blanks on a few unknowns.

Why do I make such big claims? Let's just say Corey Henderson (dwells in gyms because he is not the son of a preacher man like Chadrack, but rather the son of a Coach) can really play both the 1 and 2 and stroke the J. like C. Hannah?), and Brown at 6'7" whom I really like can play back up to Baker ( he is a very bad bad boy and a shot maker but a foe heart breaker), and Kelly, the potential X Factor of existing Shocker recruits IMO, and can back up Cotton at the 3, and let's just say Mr. Holland (a lights out shooter) can bust zones when the lights shine bright rather than just before the game starts while warming up, then here is what we have at the 1,2, and 3 slots. What team in the Country will be better as Baker, FVV,and Cotton keep improving as they are being pushed by new but solid talent at the 1,2, and 3 slots? UConn sure did well with awesome solid players in these slots.

So you think we might get one more solid big? If so, watch out!!!!!!!!!!! Dunno, but in a week we will be educated. As usual, we will be much better than advertized. Take it to the bank. 3G is the best Coach ever here at 21st and Hillside and soon will bring in another Assistant to help lead us back to the Dance and we hope not just in March, but also still playing in April.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Three straight 30 win seasons would be an AMAZING accomplishment. I understand that there are more games being played right now but 30 games is the benchmark (IMO) for having a spectacular season ( as opposed to good then great). Very excited. I would wager we lose 2 games in the non-con and 4 in the MVC. Elite 8 appearance.
The mountains are calling, and I must go.
