That was the Kentucky we were supposed to play.

Credit to UCONN though. Just goes to show you good guards can take you a long way.

This year has cemented how fluky and meaningless a National Championship can be. I would gladly take our accomplishments, our team, our wins, and our story this year over a UConn team that wasn't even as good as SMU, who didn't even make the tournament. It's been a big lesson for me that I'll take forward. A national championship is nice, but it doesn't mean as much as the regular season...to me, at least.

Disagree. Thought it was a good game.

I'm no coach, but I'm not sure why you don't just go ahead and start fouling when you are down 4 with 0:40 and UCONN has the ball for a full possession.

              Easy.

Our accomplishments are awesome and nobody will take away this fabulous, record-setting season from us.

However, a National Championship IS a National Championship. That is the ULTIMATE goal.

This year was exceptionally fluky, but I completely understand your point.

Unfortunately, in the eyes of the nation, that will never be the case.

I think the idea is to be good enough that you can have a great season AND a title. This game was a little frustrating since that scenario was not possible for either team.

I still think the best 3 teams are Florida, Arizona and WSU

This game was fine but it wasn't very compelling

Winning six in a row against a mix of the top 68 teams in the country is no joke, I don't care how "crappy" your season was. This tourney brings out the very best in players too.

Going 35-0 before dropping a game is also no joke.

Those flat billed hats make the players look like idiots.

                      Especially the coach.

I guess you like one on one basketball because that's all Kentucky tries to do. Lower your head, drive and try to draw a fouls and occasionally dish the ball. UConn was pretty similar. Napier tries to create his own shot but at least he tries to find the open guy occasionally. It's just not fun basketball to watch, 19 assists on 40 baskets is not enjoyable to me.

I would love a national championship, and I agree that it should be the ultimate goal (like winning the lottery). However, I think it would be tough to make the case that either UConn or Kentucky were the best teams this season. They were decent teams with great players. Good for them for making the tournament and showing up these last three weeks. WSU played tough for four months.

C'mon it was a decent game. Good back and forth action and athleticism on display. I'm a Shocker diehard too and it still stings that it wasn't us out there but that doesn't mean it was a brutal game to watch.
