Considering Barry's awful Christmas in Carbondale last year, I wouldn't blame him for putting that city in his rearview mirror...not that it is any fault of that town specifically, but it has to be tough to continue to live in his house.

Interesting observation. That would be difficult. Plus he is from Oklahoma and spent 6 years at ORU before moving to SWMS.

With the apparent apathy at Tulsa not sure how great a job it is, but Barry may have the personality to stir the pot a little in T-town. They appear to have the wherewithal to pay him better than SIU can at his point.

I'm thinking Barry would be a good fit for tulsa. He could get the old geezers fired up. I would hate to see him leave siu/mo valley because he is the kind of coach that the league needs and needs to keep.

That may be a littke strong, but the money and perceived prestige are no doubt big factors in many cases. Unfortunately, that's also why guys like Todd Lickliter, and Dan Monson, and Darrin Horn, and Billy Gillispie, and... (fill in the blank; there are plenty more) now have fatter bank accounts but worse (if any) coaching jobs than the ones they left behind "at this level" in search of that extra money and prestige.
