shocker3, I saw that too. It seems like a very incomplete list as only 58 salaraies are listed, and I'm pretty sure Wofford at #58 and a salary of $171,000 is not correct. Surely there are dozens of jobs not listed that exceed this amount. I assume the top of the list is good, but somewhere along the way it seems a bunch of coaches are missing.

Yes it is. And there are a lot of holes in this report. What is reported and what really is are two very different things. I'm sure some universities have become very creative in how their coaches are paid. There is no way Pastner is making more money than Lil Roy and Boeheim. Book it.

My statement was not aimed at "belittling" Memphis, but to say UNC and SU are going to pay their coach as much as similar institutions like Kansas, Ohio St, Michigan St, and so forth. Syracuse being private has advantages of not sharing complete information. UNC has probably figured out some creative ways of paying Lil Roy comparable to his piers of which Pastner is not yet one of.

I know our mega-boosters pay his salary...guys like Fred Smith, Alan Graf, and Dean Jernigan are footing the bill so if they're happy, we're happy.

His base pay is only 150k...they cover everything else.
