  • From a UK fan

Just wanted to let all of you know a couple thoughts from a die hard UK fan. Going into the game I was a bit of a WSU doubter. But I was dead wrong. I think you all got absolutely screwed by the committee to have to play us in the second round, and still I think you all would beat us 7 or 8 out of ten. Caught us on our best day and we still were a little lucky to win. Congrats on a great season and I have all the respect in the world for coach Marshall and your team. That was an amazing team we played today and it took our best effort to win.

Thanks. I'm drunk enough not to call you a name that would get turned into asterisks by the forum scripts.

Thanks! Really wish we didn't have to run into one of the best 8 seeds I can ever remember in the second round.

We won't have Early back next year, but with our next four highest scorers returning and best defenders, we'll be back there next year. Hopefully a rematch wouldn't have to happen until LATE this time.

Thanks, It was just too bad the best two teams in St Louis had to play each other. (and I'm not talking KU/Stanford by the way).

No question about it. That was a final four caliber game today.

If Kentucky wasn't the best #8 seed EVER, I'd love to know who was.

Tough break for WSU that UK came up just short against Florida in the SEC tournament championship, or they would have jumped in the seeding and this game would have come much later. Louisville would not have beaten WSU today, and they won't beat Kentucky if the Cats can find this level of play next weekend -- not because there's anything wrong with Louisville, but because that's how well today's game was played. Somebody (actually, a couple of somebodies) will really have to kick it up a notch to play a better game than this in the 2014 tournament.
