Looking at the difference in length of coaches tenure it would seem a "no brainer" choice on Jans part. It will be interesting on who and how quickly he fills his staff with to get the ball rolling but Bowling Green has a winner for sure!

Apparently Jans has hired an assistant coach. Twitter says that Dave Ragland, an assistant at InSU, is joining Jans staff. The tweet was by Rick Semmler, and is being reported on the Sycamore's message board.
Getting some media confirmation now

With Jans at BGSU and Coop at Miami (OH), next year will easily be the most attention I've ever paid to MAC hoops.
Coop's progress at MU has been slow and painful after another complete housecleaning, but they look poised to break through next year. He needs a good showing to rev up the fanbase as they are showing signs of impatience and attendance has been lackluster since his hiring. I am sure he will make the naysayers eat their words after another year or two though- he is a good coach, a high energy recruiter, and he replaces the bad apples with young men of high character. In short, Coop is the kind of coach every program should want and would be lucky to have.
It would be cool to see a Redhawks vs. Falcons title game in the MAC Tournament some day soon. I am looking forward to following both of our Shockers in that league.
