  • I thought UK was the toughest challenge right up to the NC game. UK has the ability to beat absolutely everybody. They're just inconsistent. Most of what I'm seeing says they played the best game they['ve played all year. When that group of talent plays the best they can play, there's no one that's going to stop them.

They may have "spent it all" in this game. If they come out flat against UL, it may be because they already won their Super Bowl.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

This game was huge, yes. Super Bowl, no. UL is the biggest rival and the hatred runs deep to the core They have no way of stopping our inside guys. It was WSU and Baker that I feared most and you guys proved why today. If UL plays like they did against against St Louis this could get ugly.

I like your thinking. I remember last year when you guys beat Ohio State I was hoping you would finish it off and win the championship.
I am very worried about Louisville I hated seeing both you and Louisville in our bracket. Good luck next year and hopefully we meet again but this time in the National Championship game.

At this point, I want Kentucky to win the championship just to prove how ridiculous their 8 seed was.

I don't see any reason you can't beat both Louisville and Michigan.

Prefer Kentucky they are my #1 and I would be kidding myself if I ever thought Cleveland State or Xavier could ever make the National Championship game.

Maybe you can play Cleveland State next year in the 3/14 game or something I am hopeful next year Cleveland State can win the Horizon we have our entire starting 5 coming back and Green Bay and Wright State lost their big guns and we beat Milwaukee twice last year by 24+ each game.

                  • "No. 1: I wrote in advance of tipoff that Wichita State-Kentucky was the most compelling Round of 32 matchup in history, and, somehow, the game still exceeded expectations. Back and forth, big play after big play, it literally wasn't decided until the final buzzer sounded, and the announced crowd of 19,676 seemed to understand -- with every dribble, drive and dunk -- that it was watching something special, witnessing something great."

@Gary:ParrishCBS: Here are my thoughts on the historically great (and fun) NCAA game I witnessed between Kentucky and Wichita State: http://cbsprt.co/1eDb26Ge

But this UK-WSU game felt bigger than normal, better than usual, and it seems like the type of game that'll be remembered for a long time and maybe forever.

Speaking of Cleveland State, I saw that OTL report on Kevin Mackey.

Interesting stuff. Think of what he can do at a program like St. John's, La Salle, or another urban university like CSU.

I don't understand the disdain for his post. The bench was 3-9 FT shooting - that's a fact. It should pain them to think about for the next couple of days. That's what happens when you invest so much time, effort, money, years, days, blood, sweat, tears and come up on the wrong end of the scoreboard. It should hurt because if it doesn't then they didn't care, but they are men and they will get past it and it doesn't take A DAMN thing away from what was accomplished this season.

                              • Today's game was the highest level of basketball played that I've ever been too. I've never been to a better game in my life and I doubt I will.
