  • Watched the game with mostly bipartisan fans here in Batin Rouge.

These refs were horrible. I can take a closely called or loosly called game, but the inconsistency and automatic KY whistle wore down even the strongest defender of these officials. One gentleman IS a D1 official an left with 4 mins left because the LSU fans were on him about how horrible the officiating was.

And it went both ways, but the net gain was in KY favor.

Through all the adversity, they had thier shot at the end.
All I could think about hefore the shot hit the rim was Jimmy Chippewood. I wonder.....

    • The bench player know they don't get much playing time. Why didn't they practice free throws? As someone mentioned earlier, the bench was 3 of 9 on the free thow line. 33% FT ! Can't win

            You can't be serious.

Not only are you uninformed but you're inciting emotional people.

            • That was an amazing game, but I still hate to see the season end on the first weekend. **** the committee for doing that to us.

In the last 8 minutes, the Wildcats got lots of throws and rebounded well. Kentucky did more damage inside the 2nd half than the first half and that hurt us. Cle and Baker played awesome and all of our beloved Shocks played their hearts out and I am proud of our 35-1 Season to the max. 31 points and 7 rebounds by Cle and Baker had 20 points. I thought Kentucky shot above their curve today to barely win. We led most of the game and gave ourself a great chance to win. Most of the "I told you so crowd" now know we are for real. Kentucky could win several more games if they play like they did today. WSU gave us a special Season that was beyond our expectations going in and I could not be more proud of our team. We left it all on the floor and the game could have went either way.

                      • It looks like Kentucky has some history on their side toward winning the National Championship.

In 1979 Michigan State stopped Indiana State's undefeated streak to win the National Championship.

In 1991 Duke stopped UNLV's undefeated streak on their way to winning the National Championship.

And now Kentucky stops Wichita State's undefeated streak. If they play the rest of the way like they did against the Shockers, they might end up winning it.

                          • I'm trying to be positive, but one thing I'm feeling really negative about is Kentucky's consistency. If they play like they did today, they'll win the national championship. If they play like they did Friday, they'll get rolled by Louisville. ugh. Mid majors that get up for the name on the front of the opponent's jersey.

                            • Great game guys sorry to see that 1 of us had to lose that game I hated the committee for putting us against each other on Selection Sunday and I still hate it.

What a great season you guys had to win 35 straight games and what players you have what an amazing team you have.

Cle was simply amazing today and Baker was awesome too.

Congrats on an amazing season I for one can't wait to see how great you will be again next year and you will be great.

                              • Like I said, Baker is one of my all time favorite players. I told you guys this recently and look we he did today.

                                Check this out below:

Ron Baker poured in 20 points on the Cats on 7-of-12 shooting, including a big three-pointer to keep his team alive in the final minute. After the game, Andrew Harrison let the Wichita State guard know how difficult he was to contain. Baker said Harrison shook his hand and told him, “You are a bad, bad, bad boy.”

Baker told Harrison he is too.

I’m perfectly OK with UK never having to face that kid again. Baker’s the real deal. He’s a bad, bad, bad boy.
