It won't happen in my lifetime. I'm 62. My grandma lived to 105 so it could be a long time unless I get careless.

Great achievement. It will be there for a long time. But if the Shocks can manage to extend that to 40 can you imagine what would happen to this town. It would be perhaps the most monumental achievement in the history of Wichita, Kansas. As Coach Marshall will remind his players and the fans...you can't get to 40 without getting to 36 first.

My wife keeps saying that if we do it, there might even be a movie someday.

I hesitate at first, but after you weigh everything involved, it starts to seem pretty reasonable.

Here's a team full of western Kansas recruits, brothers of "real" talent, underrated players, jucos and a program that is not supposed to be elite who may very well go undefeated and win a national championship.

This Season, we are not done adding to this record IMO. This Shocker team has broken so many Team records, Valley records, and now this National record, it will be difficult for all of this to really sink-in for Shocker Nation to realize and fathom just the magnitude our beloved Shocks have achieved. My Grandkids are already getting an ear-full and SN will point to this Season for many moons to come.

What happens to a team that really locks into the Marshall Plan? Well, it gets the "I told you so foes" croaking like bull-frogs in a hail-storm, which fuels the inner-fires of our team that plays angry, follows the game-plan with execution, are not satisfied, play defense to the liking of Bobby Knight who is a defensive liaison, and play unselfish team-ball on both sides of the court. Stay tuned.

If we go 40-0 this year, then the most optimistic guess would be next year when we do it again.

I'm pretty confident we'll be reaching 36-0 very soon.

Outside of that, I guess it depends on how soon and by how much the regular season grows in the future.
