Are you being serious?? I came over looking to gain some insight on your players and was looking to exchange "good luck" and instead before getting to any of that, I see complete disrespect for your opponent.. After that, I get corrected for grammatical errors (which is Sooooo popular these days when folks know that they don't have much ammunition) instead of game strategy and then a continuation of name calling and malicious comments based on your geographical stereotypes...

Having said that, yes, you are a mid-major program to which only the 12 of you will argue because, well, you are Shocker fans and you have some type of disillusion that causes you to believe that your 2 year window of relevance will continue for years to come... Bottom line is you've play in a conference that provides no competition and your OOC schedule is just as lackluster.. Cal-Poly wasn't even high school level competition.. But in your heart of hearts, I know you all already understand everything I just said but will deny it till the last breath... So continue on with your pipe dream.. Despite my grammatical errors, I somehow still found a way to make 250k last year as a wireline engineer and yes, I do chew Copenhagen and no my wife doesn't Lmao... As I initially intended before I saw what WSU fans were truly like, Good Luck boys
Oh my god, I'm so sorry that we didn't show you the reverence that you so deserve. Can you ever forgive us?

Keep them out of transition and attack UK in transition when their bigs aren't back and set defensively. I have no doubt that our coaching staff knows this. At the same time though a track meet is exactly what UK wants and I am sure FVV will wisely pick and choose his spots.
This is pretty good. I have watched a lot of UK and they haven't learned (yet) what 3G teaches...run hard. Randall is very excited to show his athleticism when he's got the ball or he might get a dunk. If not, it's loaf city and he's not the only one. It will be interesting to see if the talented but young UK players will heed their coach's call to arms for 40 minutes. If they do it should be a great game.

What annoys me is the UK fan that dismisses our talent. Our talented kids have developed into great players. You don't get ranked #2 because you play well. You get there because of talent that plays very well together.

I'll say it again, WSU's "A" game wins tomorrow.

        Entitled to win - less
        Deserves to win - more

Looking forward to a great game.

        • Hey guys, I understand some of these morons from the UK boards are stepping on here, but remember there are fans of the Shockers in Kentucky, and some of us get tired of the Kentucky stereotypes just like you get tired of the Kansas ones...

I think it's going to be very interesting seeing how seriously they take our team tomorrow. They've had issues with immaturity and lack of effort all year, and regardless of the ranking, we're still not the kind of name that's going to make people like them suddenly change their prep habits.

Their very poor transition defense is also going to be interesting considering the minutes they clocked yesterday, while our team comes in very rested.

My feeling is that their extended hard minutes yesterday and the three headed monster regularly subbing in and out against them will help eliminate a lot of the natural advantage their size and strength would give them in the post.

              • We will know for sure in about 13 hours but I doubt the kid plays and even though KCSHOX thinks they will shoot it up, that is going to be very difficult with an elbow. My UCL ligament is gone and if I were any kind of athlete I would have got the Tommy John surgery years ago. I can play in one one day softball tournament a year because the day after my elbow is done. Once you piss off the ligaments in the elbow it takes more than a couple of days to feel back to normal. Just my opinion and we will know very soon. If she doesn't play their 7 man rotation is going to get tested.

                    • Hello Shockers
I know a lot of K-Staters that believe you will win tomorrow.

Good Luck. You guys have a killer instinct right now that most college basketball teams lack.

                      Play Angry!!!!!!

I will resume hostilities when we meet in baseball.

                        • Oh sooooo stoked for this game tomorrow! I apologize in advance to the Stanford fans around me, I'll be screaming and yelling my fool head off. The ONE big thing I want to see is TK take it right at one of their bigs (elevator going UP!), that would be cool.

I had a "dude are you serious moment" during the Shox game. A guy behind me kept making great observations about our team play (sounded quite knowledgeable) then proceeds to ask me where is Wichita State located ......in my best Jake from State Farm "uh, khakis" voice I replied with ....uh, Wichita. Don't know which school if any he supported.

I'll be curious to see how many steals we can can come up with down in the paint (digs) and off the wings from lazy passing. Do our bigs with their lower center of mass move their bigs out during rebounds and the potential foul calls. I also read where some of their players don't know much about the Shox, (they haven't seen us play) good for us. Finally hitting our 3's will be über important. Let's give these McDonalds AA Diaper Dandies a nice little Happy Meal and send them on there way back home.

Hey Chip from KY, before I learned to Vector Wu, I worked as a wireline engineer. You work open hole or cased? With that kind of salary I'm guessing you work for Schlumberger. Oh, BTW we're not smug, just sarcastic, check your meter.

Pretty easy to vote WSU the most likely #1 seed to fall early. We're in the bracket with 4 of the top 10 teams That leaves 6 of the top 10 to play in the other 3 brackets. Simple math says it's twice as likely that WSU will be unable to advance than any of the other #1 seeds.

Pretty pointless poll based on how the regions were set up.

                            • I know there are a lot of Kentucky message boards but I thought these guys were not the normal kool aid drinking Kentucky fans. Really some decent insight and a lot of complaints about there players being lazy and disinterested. They especially focused on Young and Randle and seemed very concerned about the match up with our guys who play like a team not a bunch of AAU guys.

Dan Dakich also just picked UK. I now feel a great reassurance we will take care of business.
