I doubt it's still majorly swollen after the week off. I'm sure they're just being protective at this point.

He didn't seem to be favoring it at all in the game that I noticed.

Florida defeated No. 16 seed Albany by 12 points, a final score that conceals a game that was competitive until late in the second half. But the Gators were favored by 22 to 23 points according to Las Vegas sportsbooks and power ratings. Our research suggests that performance relative to power ratings and point spreads early in the tournament has a fair amount of say in predicting how a team fares later on.

      • ESPN notes that Cal Poly had one of the worst shooting games in tourney history, hitting only 20.7% of its shots! third worst since the tourney expanded in 84-85.

        Shox defense is for real!

          What a strange coincidence!

            • Can you even possibly imagine how lucky we'd have to be to be competitive against an Elite program like Kentucky, much less the lottery we'd have to hit to beat them?

              • Wichita State isn't going to get credit for dismantling Cal Poly because Wichita State rarely gets credit for anything, and, I know, it was just Cal Poly. But the Shockers looked more like a No. 1 seed than any other No. 1 seed in their 64-37 win over the Big West tournament champions. They held Cal Poly to 20.7 percent shooting from the field. For what it's worth, Cal Poly played Arizona, Pittsburgh, Oregon and Stanford this season. None of those teams overwhelmed the Mustangs like Wichita State did."

These are valid points and thanks for sharing this. Both Cle and Cotton only played 19 minutes or the results would have been even more impressive.

A little ironic after making that statement that the number 35 didn't make his list.

                      • The cal poly fan perspective on the game last night.

if we had shot a pretty average 40% w/ 33% from 3 and 70% from the line we would have put up 67 to WSU's 64

Now if we had shot like we did in the TX SO game we would have put up 85 pts.

Watching the post game we were just tired it sounds like, to many flights, to many finals, too many games, too little practice and almost no time to prepare.
The "off shooting night" trend continues for Shocker opponents.

If only there was something that WSU could do with their play to help contribute to poor shooting by the opponent. Imagine how good we could be then!

                              • "If we hadn't been playing a Final Four contestant that nearly knocked off the national champs and got our asses handed to us the first half and played good enough to prevent their bench players from getting 15 to 20 minutes of NCAA tournament experience and actually admit that most of their conference competition is probably better than us, we would understand why we can't score 67 to their 64."
