I will go with 11 since random numbers are as good as any right now.

Meh. They did what they've done all season. They backed off when they got up a ridiculous amount.

We also barely ever had our actual starting lineup on the floor.

They looked focused and ready during the first half to me. Cle looked phenomenal.

They should've been thinking about that instead of questioning WSU's "readiness" before the game.

          • Greatest since '54 N.I.T.!

As one of the "old" farts here, I feel compelled to jump in and say that watchingthis game was the most gratifying experience I've had since I and my other WSUCheerleader members accompanied the Shockers to the N.I.T. in March, 1954 - -despite the fact that we lost to Bowling Green by 4 points. I'm ecstatic and lookingforward to the next round - (hopefullyagainst K-State).That would be one helluva match-up!

Let people say whatever the hell they want. They can try to down play our game by saying that, so long as they comment on Florida only winning theirs by 12 and Arizona only winning theirs by 9. And Virginia trailing by 5 at halftime. Ours was never in doubt, and was impressive any way you want to cut it.

              • Just got back from the game. Tired legs even though I sat most of the time. I couldn't watch KSU miss shots and leave the Harrison twins open so I had to leave early.

Sat near a UK couple whose daughter just graduated from EKU. Also near Don Beggs and family, good to see him.

Played well, sat Cleanthony along time.

                • Also, Bakers ankle is still noticeablely swollen and that observation was from 15 rows away

                  • great start,Cle with an A+ defensive game, completely took them out of their comfort zone. was able to rest the starters alittle in the second half. little rusty on our shots but that is to be expected after the layoff. but we looked very comfortable out there and there is no doubt to me that we will beat Kentucky. Bank on it....

Just a guess that some of that may be a well taped ankle?

I assume it's longterm swollenness from the earlier in the season sprain and a season of play on it. It's something he's going to have to deal with the reset of the season but it looked swollen. Could also just be the massive tape job underneath his sock.

I addressed that in the post below, but yes good point - thought of it after I posted it initially.

                            • Wichita State faced the highest RPI rated 16-seed yet had the highest margin of victory of 1-seeds; 27 points. The next closest was 12.

It's laughable for people to not be on board with this team yet.

We're also the only one seed that was able to rest our players. Florida, Arizona, and Virginia all had to play their top players 30+ minutes and rely on them the entire game. We gave Cotton and Early both some of their lowest minute totals of the season.
