Manhattan was a dangerous team that drew a tough matchup (not that 13 vs. 4 will ever be easy, but this was probably tougher than most). Still, some of those big scores Louisville had been putting up recently were pretty impressive -- the Jaspers provided a useful reality check, at least for us fans. As for the players, they won't need one if they get past whichever set of Wildcats comes along. They already know Louisville is beatable.

I think the AAC has proved today how overrated it was; with Cinci losing, at the same time, Louisville and UCONN struggling to win.
I want you to go back through the course of history, when you get a chance, and tell me how many National Champions have had struggling wins during the course of their tournament runs.

I wouldn't put too much stock into this one game.

I think all of the "power conferences" have been exposed to a certain extent today. There have been 2 Pac12, 1 Big 10, 1 AAC, 1 Big 12, and an ACC that have all lost today (I know some were underdogs or playing other power schools) and several more from these conferences have been pushed to their limit

          • I'd have to agree with the poster who mentioned that the AAC has proved to be overrated. Their conference has been a fraud this season, and it's a good thing SMU didn't steal a spot in the Big Dance.

Look, all I am saying is Louisville isn't this unstoppable force all the analyst have made them out to be this past week.

They are very beatable and I would like WSU's chances against them.

The AAC teams were the higher seed, playing mid-majors in all three games.

They very well could have gone 0-3 today.

                      • So do we root for SLU or Louisville? I like Louisville because it's brand name, just like UK (to beat KSU)

                          Agreed.

Fair or not, it would make WSU's run look more impressive.
