the tone of this article suggests HCGM chewed on his agent for opening his mouth. Then goes on a Pro-WSU PR campaign which HCGM prob wrote for him..good stuff.

That's a possible interpretation, but I think you are reading too much into things and making a lot of assumptions to say that HCGM "chewed on his agent" and then wrote a new PR campaign for him.

Now, if only they had:

1) a job worth having, working for
2) an AD who's worth having as a boss, and
3) fans who show up for games even when MU wins 30 in a season.

Unfortunately for Missouri, they don't; and Marshall already has all of them, plus a supportive administration and a ready-made contender for the Final Four.

I'm not worried either.

Bryan Burwell was on 610sport.com yesterday with Bob Fescoe. I just caught the tail end of the conversation, but Burwell basically conceded that Mizzou would not land Marshall. Go for Marshall, give Kim Anderson a courtesy look, but settle for Ben Howland. Of course, this conversation was going on at the same time that 810whb.com was talking to Gabe DeArmond of PowerMizzou.com who said the three top candidates were Marshall (who they would not get), Anderson, and Matt Painter.

Lutz is burning the last bridge to the small island of people who still defend him and give credence to his opinions.

As I recall, at Marshall's first presser in Wichita, Lutz asked a really stupid question and got a very "Marshallesque" response to the stupid question. To make matters worse, Lutz ragged on Marshall when Lutz didn't get the answer he wanted. Lutz pretty much tried to claim "big dog in town" status over Marshall when Marshall first got to Wichita. That didn't work out well for Bobby. Lutz got cut off from any WSU BB info other than at pressers. Lutz got nothing that wasn't available to everybody. I think that's still pretty much in place.

I think Lutz would rather see Marshall leave town than see a winning basketball program at WSU.

I don't think that Lutz cares at all whether he stays or leaves. He just likes to stir stuff up. I'm pretty sure that he doesn't care whether he's making a valid point or not, he just likes to argue and get people worked up.
