  • Couple of good things from weekend tourneys

Both Kentucky and Baylor played themselves off the 8/9 line. Either would give WSU problems with their length and athletes had they been matched up in rd 2. Also I think Lville could get the 4th #1 seed with their strong finish.

Personally I don't want Kentucky as an 8/9 but I would love Baylor. 8/9s are good teams, and I think Baylor would be the "least good" team that WSU could hope for.

Interesting take JH4P. I would much rather face ASU/Stanford/UMass/GW than either Baylor or Oklahoma State.

I actually agree with Jamar. The only thing to decompensates good talent is bad coaching. Advantage us.

Baylor's defense is ranked outside the top 100. I think the Shox score 75-80 on them, and WSU just doesn't lose games when they score that much.

Wasn't the rumor that we handled Baylor pretty easily in the scrimmage?

Yes, but they were playing without Jefferson, who is probably their best player. I'm just hoping for no Oklahoma State. I think we can handle them, but to have to face them so early wouldn't be my preference.

Coming into the weekend, I thought I would rather play Baylor than OSU. Having watched them in the B12 tourney, Baylor was cleary the better team. They had won 9 of their last 10.

OSU is still dangerous because they are reckless. Between OSU, Baylor, and Kentucky, I would rather play Kentucky, followed by OSU, but I don't fear any of them. All are good enough to beat us. We are good enough to beat all of them.

Also, this way Marshall can get a sneak peak at his next university... Baylor fans are so delusional.

Agreed. ISUb is better then any of those four teams, IMHO.

Joey Brackets now has Memphis and KState as the 8/9 in our bracket. Thinking that may be a lock

Remember he's guessing what the committee is going to do. Would not surprise me to see KSU as a #10

If I'm not mistaken, Baylor plays the 2 - 3 zone. They've only allowed four teams all year to score more than 80 on them. 70 would be feasible, but our 3 point shooting would have to better than the season average for the game for that to work. However, Baylor ranks 266th nationally in 3 pt defense so you'd think one of these would have to give.

We do a good job attacking the zone. Their length down low is a bit of a problem though, and their bags are better than ours in creating shots.

Well so much for Kentucky playing themselves off the 8/9 line, not only that they will bring the fans to StLouis. So the NCAA is saying UK is the #29-32 best team in the country....yeah right. The commitee layed a mine field for WSU....Mich Duke Loisville and Kentucky. WSU wil get every chance to prove they belong. Wow MW easily the toughest bracket.
