  • Shot Analytics of Shockers Offense - Spot on analysis.

Perhaps the best breakdown of our offense I've seen.

Everyone has their favorite spot on the floor and nearly everyone shoots better than 45% from that spot. Full floor coverage in shot selection.

Really exciting stuff and bolsters my excitement for the NCAAs

I don't need a chart to know where Ron likes to shoot it from. I bet I could still draw toure's hot spots.

In the last game against Indiana State, Ron was 0-6 from the 3 line.

Five of the shots hit the front of the rim. The remaining attempt hit the front of the rim, but it was off to the left some. None of the shots hit the top of the rim and bounded away.

In the two previous games against UE and Mo State, he was 6-8 from the 3 line.

I do not know whether to attribute the Sycamore performace to variance or not.

and Aaron Ellis loved the top of the key with toe right squarely on the 3 point line

I prefer to attribute it to the third game in three days.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

Maybe it waas the third game within 48 hours and his legs (ankle) were tired. Cle and Fred had the same problem at the same time in the second half, but they recovered nicely.

Or maybe it was the elbow to the face at the beginning of the game.

After Baker shot the freethrows for the F1, I thought I saw him shaking his shooting hand. When he went down the court to throw the inbounds after the freethrows, he shook it out again.

The shot charts also give a nice view of how our offense is set up. Cle's role is very apparent. I'm curious how we fill that atheltic scoring 4 spot next year.

At the end of that article I just want there to be a video of HCGM saying "Play Angry, Let's Go!" The end of that article got me fired up!

My favorite thing about that article might be the background...I thought maybe it was just for the WSU article but it's for the whole site. Cool stuff and great timing.

I wonder if it had anything to do with playing three games in as many days and just being tired

I think he just got the "bad shooting game" out of the way before the tournament...now he can "go all Gonzaga" for the next 6 games.

3 games in 3 days perhaps
