Charter planes aren't cheap. A Citation VII is about $9000/hr so about $550/seat. A G200 will cost you about $1000 a seat for a 1hr flight. I guess if you went out of the Jet territory to something like a King Air you can get the price down -- especially if the pilot owns the plane and is a shocker fan. I'm assuming there a few local shocker fans that own a King Air.
I think $500 would be too high when commercial is cheaper, even with a stop in Dallas and having to get in from the burbs. I assume the charter will fly into the downtown airport across the river in Illinois.
E: I'd love to be wrong here. I'm just guessing based on what I remember for charter flights last year and what I know of the cost of charter flights. If $300 flights can be arranged -- AWESOME. I'll have to seriously consider that.

We need to invest in a SN charter plane to take everywhere.

Anyone know of a "green doctor" office we can sell cookies in front off, to raise capital for said investment?

Rosewood, I agree. The key is to get a big plane, a 737, and be able to fill it. That can get the costs lower, on a per person basis, than a corporate jet.
