I hope the alumni association buys a bunch of tickets and takes 7 buses again.

Yes, but I don't know the details.
"If you're going to do it, you're going to do it right," athletic director Jim Schaus said. "If we're going to put 'Wichita State' across our chest, then every team is going to matter."

Florida has a bad loss and WSU gets overall #1 seed and move to #1 in the polls with Florida still receiving votes

Florida is for real and loaded with Sr's. There's no one in the SEC that's going to take them down. After watching a couple of Florida games this year, I've got no problem with them getting the overall #1.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

final #1 seed prolly comes down to Villanova, KU, Michigan and Duke in that order. These 4 conference tournaments should be very interesting. Not a lot of drama in the SEC or Pac 12, Fla and Ariz should get through. Teams with a chance to right the ship: Kentucky, Iowa, St. Louis and Mich St. Teams that need to make a statement: Ok State, Tennessee, BYU. Surprise tourney team: Nebraska.

You can't get any quality losses by losing to an SEC team.

Every bracket I see has KSU as the 8/9 in our region.

The projected Midwest would be a shocker fans dream come true. Get em all. St. Louis would be heckuva site if it pans out too.

Other than what region and location the top 4 seeds get put into, I don't take the matchups these bracketologists predict seriously. I think that part is just for fun.

What I know will happen: We'll be the #1 seed in the Midwest
What will probably happen: KU as the #2 seed
What I hope will happen: Creighton as the #3
What I don't want to happen: Louisville as the #4
What I don't care as much about: Seeds 5-16

I've been watching games of teams in the 5-16 range, and frankly few of them are very impressive. This team is just too rock solid fundamentally to get upset early on, even if a team comes out on fire. We've seen 18 games in a row where opponents tried their hardest to pull off an upset, and none were able to complete the deal. Two more isn't going to break us. Of the #9 seeds, the one I'd want is Kansas State, but that is about the story and not the game. The toughest potential games I can see would be SMU, Cincinnati, Iowa, and Michigan State. Teams that are physically competitive that play well on defense. I'm not worried about hot shooting nights like I have been the last couple of years.

I've watched a decent amount of Louisville games this year, and they are a 1 seed quality team without a 1 seed quality resume. Their interior strength is weaker than last year, but I think otherwise they are actually better than they were last year. I want them in Florida, Arizona, or Syracuse's bracket, because I honestly think they are have the potential to be the toughest game any of the #1 seeds could face before the Final four.

I would be stoked for a rematch with Creighton, but of course with their tournament history it probably won't happen. If they play against a good defensive team in the first few rounds, I think they go home early, Doug McBuckets or no. I don't think they are a significantly different team than they were last year, and the stats back that up. They are just slightly more efficient on offense, and actually worse on defense. On the other hand, I think that starting in the game against Gonzaga we've been a completely different team. Playing Creighton for a chance to go the Final Four would be a great extension of the rivalry, and I think this team is more than up to the task.

As far as KU goes, I don't care about it yet. We'll cross that bridge when we get to it. From what I've seen from KU, we could beat them, they could beat us, or they could beat themselves. We won't beat ourselves. That gives me confidence about our chances, because the pieces we have to work with have showed up with far greater consistency, especially if Embiid's injury problems continue. If the game happens, it will definitely change the dynamics in the state but it is hard to speculate on the magnitude of the changes or what they'd be.
