I knew the committee would job WSU in there selections.. It's a "prove yourself" move..

Worst possible thing would have been to put us up against a non-Big 5 opponent or a grossly over seeded Big 5 team in the R32. A sub par game by us or an usually hot game by that opponent would have been, well, let's just say not good.

Now, with the "prove yourself" schedule, it will provide the best type of motivation for our coaches and players. We can go balls to walls, embrace the challenge.

Did they really just say on ESPN that our bracket "opened up for us" last season and we were able to play lower seeds than we would this year?

We played 8, 1, 13, 2, 1 last year. Average seed of 5. Worse case scenario this year we'd play 16, 8, 4, 2, 1. Average seed of 6.2.

I know it's the whole 'message board dream matchup' thing, but you realize it takes winning consecutive games to make it to the final four, right?

That is arguably the toughest draw in the field!

Louisville will be tough, but a revenge match. Outside of them I like our chances...albeit tough. The 2 teams I could see us playing in the championship game would be Florida or Michigan State--who looked pretty good today.

So after all the smack talk by Creighton fans about their new conference and SOS, they ended up beating 7 tournament teams, while we beat 5. They went 8-5 against the tournament field.

Five wins over tourney teams in our nonconference is a pretty good deal considering the garbage the MVC schedule became.

That's OK Chuck. Our guys have always said anytime, anywhere anyplace. The committee has given us a great opportunity for our guys to show the world what they are really all about. Yeah, it's a very tough road in front of the Shocks. But the Shocks are a very tough group of young men. Let's lace 'em up and get after it and deal with the aftermath once the smoke clears. Go Shocks, Play Angry, Kick Ass.

I am not as scared of Kentucky as other people on this board. They are a 10 loss team in the 7th best conference in America. Yes, they have a roster of McDonald All-Americans, but they also have a roster of guys who are much more concerned about getting their 10 points each game instead of winning the game. The Shockers are built to take teams like that out. Michigan is over seeded and the weakest of four #2 seeds. KU, Wisconsin or Villanova are much tougher #2 seeds. Duke is good, but inconsistent. I think WSU vs. Louisville decides the Final 4 spot from the Midwest. Yeah, Louisville sucks to play in the Sweet 16 and they are hot right now having won 5 straight. Well, we have won 34 straight and will be ready for the game. Also, the guys on tv forget that tons of upsets happen each year. We are going to see 2-4 seeds lose the first round next weekend. It happens every year. I see bring the tough bracket on. Honestly, I don't think our players would want it any other way.
