Saw this on Gabe's Facebook today...

"Of course Respect is earned not given...with that being said, The Gators are undefeated in a weak SEC conference with 1 other ranked team which would be #25 Kentucky. Their 2 loses on the season are to Wisconsin and UConn both with 5 or more loses and more than a few spots out of 1st place in their "respective" conferences.

If that's not enough, in last years NCAA tournament the Gators played Northwestern St., Minnesota, Florida Gulf Coast before losing by 20 to Michigan in the elite 8. Their road to the elite 8 may have been the least combative of all the 8 teams that made it to the elite 8. I respect the Florida program but if I were a Florida fan I'd give more thanks to Joakim Noah, Corey Brewer, Al Horford, etc. for their current #1 ranking and not their overly impressive record over the past year because their is a team with a better record and more impressive wins and accomplishment but they must wait until all the power house schools and conferences finish shooting themselves in the foot before they get the complete respect they deserve.

So in my Katt Williams voice "I'll Wait" because a overall number 1 seed is earned not given and 31-0 plus a few more to come in the W column is earned not given so caught up NCAA and Media

Preach it, Gabe, preach it. I would also add that not only the Noah/Horford/Brewer team should get some of the credit for being #1, but also an overvalued win over an inconsistent KU squad. March is here ... time to earn more of that respect!

Have any of you heard more than 100 times remarks like this from non-Shocker fans?

Comment--Your Shockers are good and fun to watch. However, I'm afraid they will fall on their face when they play good teams at the Dance.

Answer--Folk said that last Season before all 5 games we played in at the Dance, and even on the tube at halftime of each game, but we held our own. Ohio State had a huge winning streak before the Dance, including winning the Big 10 Tourney, the Zags were considered number 1 over all teams before we played them, and we gave Louisville a run for their money.

Comment-- Creighton left your Valley and now it is a weak Conference.

Answer--They sure have won their fair share of games in the mighty Big East for a former Valley team. Right?

Comment--But your weak schedule is why you won so many games this Season.

Answer--We are the top winning road team for the past 3 Seasons. We are the last team standing without a loss this Season. Bobby Knight paid our team very nice compliments last week. He also said we are the best defensive team he has seen this Season. If anybody understands solid defense, it is Bobby Knight.

Comment--You don't have as much talent as other teams you might face at the Dance.

Answer--We have a great Coach that prepares us. We play together, which is of essence in a team sport. We are an experienced team with one of the very best quarterbacks in FVV. Baker is a Maker. Every KU fan I know has told me they wish they had one or both of these guards on their team. We have Cle who plays his very best when the lights shine bright. We have Cotton who is a defensive stopper. The rest of our players interchange in and out nicely and I believe they will step up to the the front-burner by committee at the Dance.

In conclusion, right now, let's just win the Lew. Sneering critics with baited breath so much want to be able to proclaim---"See, I told you so." Our beloved Shocks will give their all and we will see what happens from here. I embellish what we have done and our Shocks will play angry are not satisfied yet.
