  • SEC is over-rated

Two teams should get an at large bid. That's it.

Only four teams from the Big 10 deserve at large bids. Ohio State is not one of them.

Since Ohio St has had slightly better wins top wins and generally not as bad of losses as WSU had last year, I assume you think we shouldn't have Danced last year?

So we're back to a 32 team tournament?

I haven't compared our schedule last year to there's but we finished second in our conference which was pretty strong. Ohio State is struggling in conference which apparently isn't nearly as good as all the experts would like for us to believe and their non-conference schedule is an embarrassment.

I'm sure that they will get in and I won't be surprised when half of the big 10 and big 12 teams are dropping like flies.

                Using end of season RPIs from last year of our 7 losses (22, 66, 71, 80, 90, 90, 198) and top 5 RPI wins (22, 26, 27, 61, 66).

                Using current Season RPIs for Ohio St 8 losses so far (9, 23, 38, 46, 59, 82, 110, 110) and top 5 RPI wins (5, 38, 44, 46, 59).

                Pretty similar, huh.

Sorry, my reply was meant for Capitol Shock. I understood your analysis and agreed with what you were saying. The way his last post was written the reply with quote function grabbed yours too.

About that SEC, Cap -- it's only overrated if people think it's better than it is. And is there anyone out there who thinks it's any good this year?

Well since WSU last season and Ohio state this season are rated roughly the same by your analysis why don't we make a friendly wager. I bet that Ohio state doesn't make it to this years final four like WSU did last year. Since the teams have an equal rpi roughly you take Ohio state getting to the final four. Obviously this is for flip or shocktalk

This was a really, really terrible year for mid majors.

For one, that doesn't make any sense whatsoever. I wouldn't take a team that is sixth in their own league as a team I would choose to go to the final four.
I never said anything about OSU being a great team or good team, you can even go back and re-read my posts, or read them for the first time, guessing by your inclusion of me in this "friendly wager."

I said "This analysis is based on what?" Meaning "WHAT analysis are you basing your conclusion on that the Big 10 should only have 4 teams, the SEC should only have 2, and the PAC-12 should only have 2?"
Anything or just flat out opinion?

They still have to take 68 teams. Ohio State won at Wisconsin that was pretty impressive. Are they a great team ? No but they are not missing the big dance take a look around at the teams on the bubble teams like Dayton, Georgetown, Providence, Nebraska, Minnesota, Saint John's.

Then the projected teams in at the bubble, Tennessee, Oregon, Missouri, BYU, Cal, Saint Joseph's, Arkansas, Colorado (who lost their star player), Oklahoma State (who lost 7 in a row)

                              Got to take 68 folks

Ohio State would be probably a 7 seed right now.
