Not to hijack this thread, but I stayed at Union Station last year. The hotel is nice, but that mall is the quintessential "other mall" from Chris Rock. I don't think there is a single national retailer there. I don't know if it is part of St. Louis' general decline or mismanagement, but it's a real shame.

Eight years ago the Union Station rocked. Had a Hooters and every retail/restaurant space was occupied. Each year it has declined and it was really not good last year. I would assume the city quit putting money into promoting it along with the management of it. Too bad because it is a really neat place when its full.

My buddy is getting married this sat before the game near the arch. I am the best man. Pretty stoked. We wanted to get the team chaplan to marry them, but that didnt work out. I am also a photographer so Im going to try and squeeze in some shots of them two. Its an informal wedding, but both are huge fans and know a couple on the wsu staff. Anyone have any recomendations or advice? We havent been since 2006

To me union station is just another reason to get the tourney out of stl. There really is no reason to go there now unless you want to eat bad mall food or buy stl cardinals gear at the cardinals store. We have only been parking there the last 3 years and basically walk on by on the way to the game!

Having stayed at the Union Station Hotel for a few years and having visited it back in its heyday, I agree with most of the above comments. I think that the only place there (inside) we have eaten has been a bagel shop near the hotel. Cheap breakfast (versus hotel food).

Any other nearby suggestions for breakfast that are good and reasonably priced?
