If you remember after we signed WP...and it was a late sign , like right before enrollment, you could tell it was a waste or a ploy to get his teammate or best friend. About 6 months ago i said WP is done.
Nothing against WP, but you could easily find another senior in high school better than him

WP is certainly not taking his job seriously. I notice him always laughing when he makes mistakes, and IMHO, that is not always cool.

Last Monday, I made the mistake of talking to HCGM about WP. This was after a caller had called the coaches show asking why WP didn't play. Coach kinda asked why people thought Wendell should be playing, and I said because he had sweet 16 experience. OOH BOY! That pissed the good coach off....

Moral of my story, I don't think the coach likes Wendell too much...

Nice guy; can't shoot and can't handle the ball at the point - can play defense for a 6 foot guard - but how do those compare to Lance Harris who appears to have taken his minutes? Harris can shoot, can play defense (plus an added couple of inches in height) - doesn't need to back up the point with Matt back. :posterwsu:

I think Coach Marshall doesn't necessarily not like WP, I think WP has made it obvious that his dedication to becoming a better player in Coach Marshall's system is lacking. That alone would reduce playing time. He is also being outperformed in practice and games by a walk-on.

Coach loves Shocker Fans dedication to the program and players, I just think sometimes our passion overwhelms him. Case in point, discussion of why WP isn't playing.

If you're getting paid around $1 mill a year to win basketball games - and if you don't win basketball games, you're out of a job, what do you do?

Keep a SR who got beat out for minutes by 2 walkons? Or find another player for that scholarship?

I think the possibility that Orukpe is here next year is a lot higher than the possibility of Preadom being here next year. Hate to see it happen to a Sr, but Preadom has moved to the absolute bottom of the depth chart - behind even a Fr walkon.
