ESPN Insider asked if a loss would help. I'm not an insider & don't subscribe to this idiotic idea.
Somebody is going to win, may as well be the Shox. Coach said the players like to be the best. I'm ecstatic about the team.
I've won championships in my adult/hobby sporting endeavors. I live it. I have sales records I enjoy. My Chamber Ambassador teams have been pretty good. I even coached a 10 year old girls soccer team that handled being undefeated. I wish I was on top like some of those days right now.
Anyone ever heard the theory success breeds success. Winning is pleasurable.

I think everyone missed the last half of the question.... for the MVC to get two team in the dance. Then yes then WSU will need to lose a game in the MVC tourney.

But who really cares about that.

So. Okay. GM decides that we need to lose.

Just exactly how does he go about that?

        I'll hang up and listen.

        Absurd.

We didn't lose to Louisville because we were "satisfied." That wasn't a "satisfied" team that lead Louisville by 12 in the second half, only fell behind finally at the 6:30 mark, and were never out of the game against the best team in the country. We lost because Armstead got into foul trouble, the refs stopped calling fouls against Louisville, and Luke Hancock came off the bench to shoot 67% and score 20 points. He scored more than that in a couple OT games where Louisville scored 100+, but that was the best game of his career, without a doubt.

Cutting down the nets had zero to do with us losing in the Final Four. And I hope we do it again. Celebrate every accomplishment and stay hungry for the next one.
