We're going to be in great shape for the tournament if Evan's finally found his shot. He just upped his season % to 12.5% in the last two games.

Really glad ESPN3 carried the net cutting.

And shooting a sizzling 75% from behind the arc the last 2 games. Was so glad he made a few 3's at a home game--so was the crowd...and the bench.

Hope the recruits enjoyed the game.

How could they not? That was the perfect game to show off our school. The crowd was going crazy even when we were up by 25-30. The atmosphere was fantastic.

As before mentioned, to go deep as we long for this very Season, our bench has to produce. Last night, I think I counted around 34 points from our bench players as Carter led them with 15 points and 4 blocked shots. If Wessel continues to gain confidence, watch out. Wiggins plays better D now and can erupt for a point a minute on a given night.

What the recruits coming and or considering us witnessed was more History being made, a very loud and enthusiastic crowd, nets coming down as a ship was earned, and every solitary active Shocker player getting to play. Then they witnessed both Early and Baker in early foul trouble but our Shockers filled in the temporary voids and actually built on the lead.

Cotton just keeps getting better on both sides of the court as their Carter only scored 6 points which was well under his average which is a commonplace if TC is guarding them. Here is something else to consider. FVV and Baker actually lead our team in overall steals this Season. Thus our 3 point guards, FVV, Baker, and Cotton are all over the place and help us in so many ways to be successful.

After Wessel's first three I probably yelled and cheered louder than I have all season. It's great to see the guy trying again. I could tell he was having fun shooting and was more comfortable.

After the second three I think I almost had a heart attack due to the excitement. I turned to my wife and told her I loved her but even she knew I really meant that I love Wessel.

Oh, and the Three Headed Monster looked great last night. Hope they can maintain that intensity when we aren't playing elementary-level competition.

Wessel actualy led our team last Season in 3 point accuracy in the first 8 games as a starter before his Season ending injury. I belive we really could have used him in the Louisville game because he hustles, plays solid D., will dive for any lose ball, and just likes to do his part very diligently in helping our team win. Once he continues to regain his confidence in shooting, we can turn him loose some with Wiggins coming in with high octane energy to a level our foes will realize we have not even skipped a beat. Also, between Carter, Chadrack, Early, and Coleby, we are really defending the inside and make it as hard as pulling hens teeth for our foes to score. Yes, we will be facing some very tough competition at the Dance, but I like what I see from our squad and we still have not hit the crest of what we are capable yet IMO.

You're worried about the team not "looking good enough" but you're not actually watching the game. Hmmm.

Watched the game and the Net-cutting. As much as I not fan of Bruce and Craig do curtain things I enjoyed the interviews with all of the players as they were celebrating it will be nice moments to relive down the line.

When Wessel hit his first 3, I looked up to the heavens with my hands raised up and screamed the loudest I could all night. It was just AWESOME.

That was my reaction in the Loyola game.

As soon as that first one went in, I knew he broke the curse. I'm pretty sure I traumatized the dogs with my screaming in the Drake game, too ... but that first one against Loyola was what did it.

And you wonder why I have reservations on how far this team can go in the tourney. 14 to 12 at the 9 minute mark AT HOME, against a lowly Drake squad. What a gip! C'mon Shox, why are you allowing these clowns hang around!?!

Curious... You seem to have a reputation of a negative slant towards anything WSU. Is that because you live/lived in KC, the most inferior "major league" city in the country.
