Finally, I look for intangibles -- effort, teamwork, chemistry, consistency, and most of all, culture. If a team is winning a lot of games because it reflects the personality of the man in charge, then I am more likely to name that man my coach of the year.

I'm not sure how Marshall wouldn't be Davis' COY every single year with that criteria.

I think lot of voters will remember they didn't have a chance to vote for Mrshall last year because the voting was done before Marshall led the Shox to a F4. Following up last year's F4 with an unblemished record to this point in time, puts Marshall in a very good position to compete for, and I think iwn, NCoY.
