Yeah, it looks like the SI jinx is on the radio broadcast and not the Shockers. This is the worst I ever remember the radio broadcast being.

Unfortunately, it's always been second rate; far less than Shocker fans deserve. :(

You would think that something besides a telephone line could be used in today's technological world.

It is. No shot KU or K-State are doing games via phone line. Sure their media partners, IMG or LearField, have satellite time. Or maybe digital phone cards. I think I read an article about this not long ago.

yeah, I remember baseball families buying the equipment they needed so they people could listen to the game at the park (or arena) on FM. It must have broken down as it no longer available.

I will post a video of mike and bob doing the broadcast by phone. Cell phone at first and then old timey hand held with cord. Quite a sight.
