  • Marshall's Day @ ESPN

I know it could technically go into the "Media Love" thread, but I figured a dedicated thread was deserving for HCGM's and Shocker Nation's big day.

I like this idea -- especially if you edit the parent post to collect the media hits as the day goes on. I know you are up to the challenge.

WSU coach Gregg Marshall will fly to ESPN’s headquarters in Bristol, Conn. on Wednesday for a marathon session with many of the network’s outlets.

He is scheduled for an ESPN.com chat at 3:35 p.m with an appearance on PTI after. He is scheduled for a live shot on SportsCenter at 4:15, 5:40 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. After dinner in the ESPN Cafe, he will talk on the halftime show during the Pittsburgh-Syracuse game.

Radio and magazine interviews are also scheduled before his day at ESPN is finished.

When is COY announced? End of regular or after the NCAA?

                Probably! :tongue-new:

Actually, that is a very good question.

ESPN: "Gregg, we know you've had to educate some of the national media on Wichita State. Is there any media in Wichita where you've had to overcome ignorance?"

HCGM: "You should call Bob Lutz"

Well I heard from a friends brother's cousin sister-in-law ex-husband's step-son's former boss, that Coach Marshall is there to sign a contract for next season's (2014-15) for ESPN GameDay to be held at Intrust Bank Arena against Duke.

If he says anything controversial, he'll likely use it as an oportunity to talk about the need for a new conference. That's the drum that he beats on Sports Daily. I would have no problem if he went down that road on national television.
