I will be in San Diego for the Sunday, 2/16 game against the Aces. 2 p.m. west coast tip. Is there a local gathering of Shockers or a recommended bar somewhere downtown?

As much as it pains me to say this, there is a "KU" / "Chiefs" sports bar in Mission Bay called The Boardwalk that typically has watch parties for all things KU. I've heard that during WSU games they will follow the game. Seeing as there is no KU game on the 16th, and the Shox are doing phenomenal, I would assume they would be tuned to the WSU match up. I've never personally been to the place, as I don't frequent the area and tend to steer clear of the KU crowd, but, as far as I know that is about the best place you're going to get out here for a sort of local gathering. As for downtown, the Gaslamp Tavern is always playing whatever is on, but, there are many other great choices down there, just do a quick yelp search. -
