And when were you watching these big boys? Must not have been today, when Texas and Michigan were both run out of the building by 17-18 points?Originally posted by BleacherReportFred VanVleet on Shockers' 3-Pt Shooting Confidence -- ' Honestly, I just tell these guys to let their nuts hang.'

I'm pretty sure this dude has been on the KU boards before, bragging about being a WSU fan, but is embarrassed because of Marshall. Is that you, Hoops?
You're basically dismissing WSU and their ranking. You're pretty much Digger Phelps 2.0, Doug Gooblieb 2.0, and Jeff Doucheman 2.0 all wrapped up into one. Can you please explain to us why WSU would be 14-10 right now with KU's schedule?
Please stop embarrassing the fan base. Do it soon before I go postal on you. I'm giving you a fair warning..
You make KC Shox look like a flipping homer. Do you understand how sad that is?Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

My point is simply that WSU is not the best team in America. There are several teams better...did you just watch the UNI game where two men THOROUGHLY in love with the Shockers splashed on the screen that WSU is #11 in the ESPN BPI rankings? Does that mean Mark Adams hates the Shockers? Of course not. It means he and everyone else (except fans like you) understand that there are around 10 teams better than WSU.
Now I'm going to go watch a replay of the Shockers beating UNI on WatchESPN.

When someone tells me that BPI uses margin of victory to help rank teams it reminds me of that time when BigDermott left LittleDermott and the rest of his starters in during a 20 or 30 point blowout...
I cringe a little bit at the thought of letting everyone know that scores matter. Pretty soon, we will have winning teams taking a three at the buzzer even though the game is in hand already because they are on the bubble or they hope for higher seeding.
Don't use a system that encourages that.

And if you are going to pick a single statistical model to use, are you sure that you want to use BPI, you know the model that has Pittsburg as the #10 team in the country and San Diego State as the #21 team?"Cotton scared me - I left him alone." - B4MSU (Bear Nation poster) in reference to heckling players

Shockerhoops ?
Shockerhoops your no WSU fan, so don't pretend. There is know way we lose 10, and with your seven game challenge we go AT LEAST 5-2. I've watched tons of basketball this year, played it understand it, coached it and no damn well we are as good as ANY team in the country, and I am a realist. Their are different ways to win, and teams that win with defense first are'nt always the prettiest but are just as effective. You like pretty, teams that run and dunk and play NBA type D. Every game I have seen KU play against physicall defensive teams they have trouble, real trouble. Big Twelve is a pretty league with NBA style play and little defense. Oh they might play bits of defense but presssure through out a game, very little. Teams like WSU, SanDiego ST., VCU, Cinn., Lou. play D first then feed off that. WSU has multiple scores, multiple people who can take over a game with out forcing it. They play the ultimate team ball, great D, and can rebound and shoot the free-ones, they will be a tough out for who ever they play. I do know, none of the so called BCS big boys want to see us in their bracket unless its to go to the final four.
