    Said he never heard of a weighted vest in practice (which was previously reported in some video that some non-local reporter did) and that maybe someone say some pads used for protection and thought it was weighted something or other

                No. He said they need to continue to work and get better on their weaknesses. He made it seem to me that they are work in progress and have not yet bought in to his program. He is trying to get them to understand if you don't practice hard and at full speed you are not going to be ready next year when it is time to contribute.
