So we tested the game today on a big screen out at Side Pockets and had a blast. Bob, Jamin, and I were talking to the screen as if the players could actually hear us, gasping in surprise as what some of the players were doing, and celebrating like it was a real Shocker game.

Well, my Team 9 and Team 12 weren't on opposite sides of the bracket. They have to meet in Round 2, so I advanced Team 12 to Round 3 to meet Team 5.

On a side note, does anyone remember the one year they made a college baseball game?? I loved that game, except they only had like 3 generic fields...

Yep, still have the game, and still play it on occasion. Solid, solid game.

It really sucks not being able to play college games on these platforms anymore.

I assume your seeding was done using player value system you developed.

If so, I a little surprised that both team #5, who had the most votes by posters, and team #11, who was a fairly clear 3rd in the voting, were neither in the top half of the seeding.

It's tragic that 5 and 1 show up in the very first round. That's like pitting WSU against Louisville in the round of 64 last year.

Yeah, we took the overall rating of each player, added them up with his fellow teammates overall ratings and then divided by five.

The overall team rankings in the game vary between 80-85, so even though certain teams may be better, the margin is still relatively close.

Team 5 has X, but also three players in the bottom third of the player pool- Trogele, Hankton, and Wessel. They could definitely pull off an upset or two though.
