  • The Shocker Invitational (Fictional Tournament)

I'm helping Bob Lutz and Jamin Anderson with a future event called the Shocker Invitational and we are coming up with some really cool things for it. We are using College Hoops 2K8 on the XBox 360 to create each of the 16 teams and every player that will be in this fictional tournament. We will be playing the games live on the big screen out at Side Pockets starting on February 16th. We are encouraging the public to come out and watch.

I have been simulating some of the games between teams and I can say it has been pretty entertaining to say the least.

Team 3 would get disqualified before the tournament even started. Ironic, as Toure Murry's place as one of the all time greats would again be diminished through no fault of his own.

Team 6 would be our after Stutz suffers a broken noise and concussion 5 minutes into the game after he takes a 3rd ball to the face on a pass from Da Circus...

We will start running a bracket contest here in the next couple of days. Whomever can correctly predict the winners of every game from start to finish(15 games), will receive a prize of some sort. Must be in attendance on simulation days at Side Pockets to win.

I should have a bracket for you guys here in the next couple of days.

                          Final 4:

                          Team 5
                          Team 7
                          Team 9
                          Team 12

Team 9 and 12 play for the championship (if they're in opposite brackets).

                          Team 12 wins it all.

The team that wins the Shocker Invitational should then have to play our current Shockers. If one of our current players is on the team that won the Shocker Invitational, then that team can choose a replacement player from one of the other Final 4 teams as long as it's the same position.
