  • I just don't know why Randy Heimermann did not blow his whistle. Seemed pretty obvious to me.
The mountains are calling, and I must go.

    • One of my favorite aspects of The Dunk is that the guy who seems to be the least excited and impressed with it was Tekele himself.

No flexing, no chest bumping, no throat slashing, no taunting. Just continue to go about his business as if nothing special had happened. Very understated and Barry Sanders-like. I have to say I love it. Thanks Tekele.

He was in awe just like everyone else. :)

I was going to say the same thing.

Look at him around :06 in this video:

The look on his face is all, "Just anothe day at the office."

That and the crowd's natural reaction are my two favorite things about this, other than the dunk itself.
The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

Absolutely. He is sooooo cool. Absolutely historic and classic Shocker moment.

Also, after now watching it with choreographed music from the ESPN clip section (thanks ESPN), I think it is hilarious how TC lands on the ground. Watch it again. He lands, spins 90 degrees to his right, like it is all set up, and then heads up court. I LOVE IT! This is the kind of highlight, like it or not, that gets the nation paying attention to your top ranked team. "Hey, what do you know, the Shockers are kind of bad-ass after all."

How tall was the guy from Carolina?

              • Two things about The Dunk:

                1) Our own Doctor of Dunk, Darius Carter, and his reaction. This man knows a great dunk when he sees it.

                2) At 6'9", Jones is so fortunate that he didn't have better ups on defending that dunk. What would have happened to his wrist and arm would not have been good.

                  • Who's the dude behind Darius on the bench? Funny. A Shockernetter by chance? C'mon. Fess up.

That young lad already has to see himself getting dunked over. Calling a foul would probably send him into an emotional tailspin like that cable commercial.
"When life hands you lemons, make lemonade." Better have some sugar and water too, or else your lemonade will suck!

                            • Nope. Still not tired of watching it.

I love Tekele just heading back on defense, but then the close-up catches a sort of wide-eyed look, like he's thinking, "Wait ... what did I just do?"
