Has anyone posted the sales figures yet? They usually make the rounds in early January but I never know where they originate from...

Someone on MVCFans always posted them on that site. Don't remember what school he was from.

Yeah, I used to go NUTS when we'd be up on Tulsa and Gene would go to the dreaded "Tulsa Stall"!

He wants WSU to replace the cu fans. Aka the valley is in hot water and may violate contract if people don't show. So he is hoping WSU has over 4000.

I love that he said the schools have to take more. I was expecting a number like 2000 each. I about cried when he said 250. If a school can't sell 250 tickets they don't deserve to play. The other team gets a bye.

I wonder if there is a minimum seating they have to sell per their contract or if that is just to break even on the rent.

Releasing a minimum necessary number to keep the tourney at Scottrade would be a risky move. I would be more likely to not go if I knew in doing so I could contribute to getting the tournament moved.

Careful what you wish for on getting the tourney moved, next thing you know it will be played at Loyola to "increase the media exposure"

Wouldn't be that much worse. I think change is going to happen soon. The league can't support that large of an arena any more, unless Barry suddenly gets SIU back in the Top25 next year.

Chicago would not surprise me. I think they'll try to avoid doing on-campus tournaments to try to avoid looking "small-time."

I think they missed the boat on that one. If they moved it to Sprint now, they might as well move it to IBA and save us all the 6 hours.

                            Screw moving the tournamnet.

If we leave they will have to go back to having at campus sites.

How does Elgin still have a job? Since he joined, we have added MSU (ok), UNI, Evansville, and Loyola.

                            Anyone see a trend there?

I am not Elgin fan but it does take the University presidents to make things happen.
