Nothing really note worthy. Gottlieb askedbout Marshall - you know, those questions. Baker handled it well. He didn't fawn all over Marshall but was complimentary and respectful. Oh, Baker did mention the Bleacher Report.Comment

Anyone else confused by doug?? Is he going to ask Ron what he is wearing next?? Talk about basketball. I met doug in salt lake talked to him for 30 mins. Got my picture taken with him. He is a nice guy. But is not afraid to show his biased opinion on teamsComment

Love him or hate him, on Andy Katz' podcast the season before we won the NIT Gottlieb said we might be the best fan base in the country and referenced how we put 9 or 10 thousand fans in the stands during the lean years.
And those are the words he used - I know because I must have played the segment 8 or 10 times for friends.
I know a lot of people like to get worked up about his comments, but I have to give him credit for speaking his mind and being VERY complimentary of the program at a time when we hadn't been to a tournament in 5 years or even won an NIT.Comment

Ron's dad is the varsity baseball coach, so naturally Ron played a lot of baseball and was very good. They say he went through a big growth spurt late in his junior year, which may be a big reason a lot of schools didn't recruit Ron. He has one of the nicest shooting forms I've seen.
