Somehow this seems like a metaphor for where the SIU program is right now. Feel bad for Barry though.

            Should've taken a charter flight...
            30 minutes & they'd be home.

Gosh, that would really suck if it happened to the Shocks. Thankfully our bus rides are limited to back and forth from a charter jet.

EDIT: Got beat to the point by @Speed:.

Barry isn't on the bus. He went recruiting. Prayers to those kids. Hope they get home safe and sound.

I heard Coach Barry called Coach Gregg and asked if they could have their tires back.

That's actually pretty scary considering the cold front moving through the area. They say have enough gas to stay warm and enough food, but I hope they're rationing it wisely. Might be a while before anyone arrives to save the day.

                    Prayers to the Salukis.

I hope the Salukis finish 2nd in the MVC. My house is cold tonight.

Good sense of humor in their tweets.

They'll be fine and hopefully this will be a good bonding experience for them.

All year long, opposing fans have been warning SIU that this was coming, but they didn't listen. I mean, how many times have crowds implored them to "warm up the bus"?

I just heard this on the Chicago 10 o'clock news, which was reporting that they were going to stay overnight on the bus. But other reports say they're getting to a hotel. Phew. I'm sure they're famished after playing a basketball game.

I'm dreading my commute tomorrow only because of the possibility of car not working in these extreme temps (-11 is the actual high - not wind chill - for tomorrow) and getting stuck.

I hope things work out for them. Modern Charter Buses can be a little bit tricky. Took a trip band trip on one several years ago and it shut down in Metro Denver because the computer in the engine sensed the bus was putting out too many emissions. Literally just shut down on I-70 in Denver. Had to get an entire other bus.
