Now of course we might not sign another player, but that's not what history as shown.
I stopped short of speculation in my post. I just wanted to list the players that could potentially see time in the post for next year, and with 6 bodies, someone is not going to get much PT.

Coach - on Bob Lutz article
WSU going undefeated for the season has about much of chance of Bob Lutz not writing a bad article

What I heard was we are not done in the post and are still looking in answer to a question on our post rotation. Might be a little semantic difference, certainly nothing need to get aggressive about.

...and we'll probably sign even more, who knows. right now, we're continuing to recruit in the '14 class and , obviously, also working on '15 and '16
              It is what it is
"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

I would guess Rashard is more ready to play, but with his size and skill, Hamilton has a lot of upside.

What was more telling to me, is HCGM saying unashamedly that we are still recruiting for post depth next year.
Kelly figures to be a little ahead of Hamilton just on the strength of the competition he's facing -- Hargrave is a big time program. But Hamilton is taller -- nice to have both of them on our side.

Nothing new in Marshall's comments about recruiting. The same comment would hold true for the 1-4 spots. The coaching staff never stops...

No need to speculate. It will be what it will be. Let it be...

It did sound like Rashard Kelly would be an immediate contributor and Hamilton perhaps not.

I didn't hear the show, but I figured for Kelly to be an immediate PT guy in the 10-15 minute range early on. I figure the same will be true for Brown. After that, I'm much less confident in my speculation for new comers.

It is a great problem for fans to have when all we can talk about is having too much talent coming in to go with what WSU already has. I don't envy HCGM when it comes to determining who to red shirt and who to not play as much. Next year is shaping up to e special as well.

I believe that these types of problems mean that WSU has arrived and won't be going anywhere for quite some time.

It wasn't that many years ago that if we had the caliber of young men coming in like this year and next year they played and they played a bunch. It speaks volumes as to where the program is now to be able to redshirt guys and have them 5 years in system. Is this a great time to be a Shocker or what?

Right now I wouldn't be surprised if WSU has the best 4-year program in D1. We don't get the one-and-done or the two-and-done guys.

The situation Marshall had when he got here forced him to go the JuCo route. That tends to be self-perpetuating. Once you start there and only get guys for 2 years, you tend to have to keep going there. Fortunately, Marshall has proven to be one of the better D1 coaches for working with JuCo guys.

It's just now that we're seeing a gradual shift to more Fr and fewer JuCo's. The development time for big guys gives some value to letting them get their early development at a JuCo instead of taking up a scholarhip. I can see some advantage to bringing in JuCo front court players.

Back to my original thought. Many teams at the level the Shox are playing have Burger Boys who will leave early for the NBA. WSU has some NBA prospects, and a lot of Sr's on the team every year. That's the equalizer that makes WSU competitive with any D1 team in the country.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
