After reading some of the posts on Phog I might be telling two of my kiddos that I am reconsidering those tuition checks to KU. Wow.

At least you aren't like a friend of mine that is a WSU grad. After working with the govmint he retired and now lives in olathe. He sports ku gear all of the time and I give him s**t for it everytime I see him. His daughter went to ku and he says "thats where my money went". If he ever starts to wear WSU gear again I will tell him he's a freakin bandwagon fan and we don't need him.

It is inconceivable that that would happen with me. My daughter really, really questioned me whether she should by a pull-over for her sorority's dad's day. Since it had a Jayhawk, she knew enough to ask if I would ever wear it. I said, "yes" - at the next dad's day. I honestly don't know if she bought it or not.

Maybe I get have less patience for this KU crap than others because I live in JoCo and have for almost 30 years now, but believe me, if I let this crap get under my skin they way others have, I would have put a bullet in my brain a long time ago (or in someone else's brain). KU supporters live in a bubble made out of 6 inch bullet proof Plexiglas. They don't get it; they will never get it, and all you can do is sit back, let them get punked by the Bucknell's, Bradleys, Northern Iowa's, and VCUs (play-in team) of the world, watch them shed their tears and shake your head, knowing they will NEVER get it

I definitely sympathize here. I'm stuck in Lawrence for at least a few more months. Quite frankly I'm just glad we are now on most of their radar, and I don't have to explain that we are a ranked Division I university.

Either way lets face it, we could win the title the next 3 years with Ron and Fred and they will still not play us. At this point its an even worse situation for them than it was a few years ago, because we legitimately can win a good portion. I'm absolutely with the camp on forgetting about the Chickenhawks up north. Name another blue blood in the country and we have an infinitely better chance of signing up a game with them in the future.

I'd much rather be discussing how Gonzaga has to be kicking themselves in the ass right now that they're traveling to Wichita and getting absolutely nothing for their resume from it.
