I've read several accounts of the game that spoke of "limited minutes"for Stokes and Maymon. Stokes played 7 minutes less than his average, Maymon 7 minutes more than his average. That is an exact wash!

This was a big deal. Maymon couldn't get a rest, as Stokes kept getting a foul every time Maymon went to the bench. Their big guys looked bigger. Our big guys were in shape.

Channel 12 would have NOT have done that if Bruce H. was still in charge. Maybe Grant should move to KC if that is what he wants to do.

Yup. Like I said the other night, say what you want about the Bruce, but he knew when to put WSU front and center at that station.

Who's the lead sports dog these days at KWCH? Grant Meech and Jen Bates are both pretty young. Neither are Beaker alums either.

Agreed. KWCH has been my sports station for nearly all of my adult life and it's teetering on the edge of losing my viewership. Leading off with KU, when you have the higher ranked LOCAL team going to 10-0, for the FIRST time in school history, against an sec team at IBA, is simply inexcusable. I'm almost inclined to drop Rog a line at AnswerBack 12.

It irritated me during the game every time I noticed it during and right before the Shocker game. How hard would it be for them to shut of the Purple crap for the 3 hours during the WSU game. They could run it twice as much during the Trans Siberian Orchestra or some other event to make up for it.

I kinda explain it, starting with post #353. It was on Thursday night. WSU gets bumped after the commercial break to the KU-NM pregame and the KSU-South Dakota highlights.

Just watched the KAKE Sunday news. Why, I don't know.

Anyways, sports segment rolls around. Some 19 y/o named Jake is handling this sweet shift at this killer affiliate. He puts K-State #1 (logical as they just played today), KU v UNM was #2, and finally the ho-hum Shocks v UT were brought out #3. At the end of the segment when they were segueing back into mainline coverage he says, "in this week's polls look for the Shocks to move up and the Hawks to move down." Not kidding or BS-ing here at all.
