Farmington's nickname is the Lady Farmers and none of the three seniors has committed to Wichita State, but as one creative Twitter user suggested, the symbol resembles the letter "F" for Farmington."

The WSU "W" is a modified "Shocker" symbol after they were banned from the actual hand gesture. They are different, but related. They have the same origins, that is why you have to explain it.
Now if our nickname was the bluejays, redbirds, wildcats, or bulldogs, there wouldn't be much explaining, but we're the Shockers, and you can tell when the Student body is waving the W!Livin the dreamComment

I'm pretty sure the Shocker W was being used long before it became a sexual commodity, at least a known sexual commodity... unless you older guys were shocking your women in the 70's...Deuces Valley.
