Syracuse is a joke.. Looking at their schedule I don't see many wins at this point in the season that are huge. The Baylor win was big when it happened, but since they have been exposed and that win isn't as big now. Nova is a good one, but they were in a race with CU for the title. They have 2-3 MORE games they should have lost but won on a miracle/dumb play by opposing teams.
Last but not least, their two NEARLY sub 150 RPI losses (including one sub 200+) is ridiculous that anyone could argue against the 31-0 record. College hasn't seen parity like this in decades. Those teams between 50-100 RPI are slaps like the "Power" schools want you to think.

Virginia (If they win both the ACC regular season and the ACC Tourney how could you keep them off)
Kansas (#1 SoS #2 RPI with 12 top 50 wins)
Nova (Only losses to top 11 RPI teams)
Wisconsin (9 top 50 wins #2 SoS)
Duke (#7 RPI, would need to win the ACC Tourney)
Michigan (#9 RPI, 8 top 50 wins, top of the BIG conference)
Creighton (If they win the conference tourney they would have beaten Nova 3 times, #8 RPI)
Syracuse (#11 RPI, 5 top 50 wins, would need to win the ACC Tourney)

The 4th #1 would have to go in my mind either Virginia, Nova, Duke, or Michigan. In that order. If they win their conference tournament they lock a #1 depending on what the others do. KU is just outside of that group with probably Wisconsin. They would need all four that I said before to lose fairly early in their tournament and paired up with a KU finals or win of tournament (same with Wisconsin). And the others CU and SU I think need everyone to lose and them to win out.. It is quite the jumbled mess.

They've got 4stars coming in. Coach McDermott has a long track record of winning conference championships and post season runs. He also has success "at that level" previously and has shown an ability to not only recruit but develop talent, again, "at that level". The kind of athletes that are generally successful "at that level" have been knocking down the doors to attend private schools in Omaha, NE for YEARS, and Greg has finally opened it for them. The continuation of deep NCAA runs is all but assured north of us. I for one, am jealous.

My bad."When life hands you lemons, make lemonade." Better have some sugar and water too, or else your lemonade will suck!

But I will say that I wouldn't be surprised if they win 2 or 3 games in the tourney this year. I think they could have a run in them (finally).Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!

I don't question his choice of 4 favorite teams, including Kentucky and Ohio St. He does not talk them up here. @HenryMuto: started following our Shockers after our game with Cleveland St and has stuck around ever since. I also believes he watches a ton of college basketball, can present a different viewpoint, always respectful to our Shockers, and a welcomed guest.
