Well they're not getting in ahead of UNCC. NCState has several bad losses, few good wins, and multiple blowout losses. I suppose maybe they could be considered if they beat UNC and closed strong....maybe. But not over 4 A-10 and 4 AAC teams and Green Bay, off the top of my head.

    • Can the Shocks use the pre-season scrimmage with Baylor to grab some of the sunshine being pumped for the B12? Hard to believe that the MSM is still including the Bears in the last 4 in conversation. Can anybody, quickly, figure out how big the boost would have been if Texas had beaten BYU and then lost to the Shocks? Thanks for nothing, 'Horns.
One quick note before we present the rankings: With Wichita State’s move to the American Athletic Conference, the Shockers have moved out of the mid-major club. We wish the Shockers well against Cincinnati, UConn, SMU, and more.

We should thank the CBE for nothing. We could have played both BYU and TX. Instead we were stuck with DePaul...again. At this point it doesn't really matter. Win Saturday and we should just about lock down the #1 seed.

        Beat the Bears.

        • I have quickly lost interest in all of these other games. It appears many on here have as well. I will pay attention to scores of SLU, Fla, and maybe a couple of others. The MVC is no longer of interest. We have something magical here going on. That is what interests me now.

          • Maybe its not the most important thing, but here is something at least mildly interesting.

If tonight plays out a certain way, Tulsa can gain a solid shot at actually winning Conference USA.

            Here's the situation:
Tulsa 10-3, is tied for 2nd with Southern Miss, UTEP & Louisiana Tech. Middle Tennessee is in 1st place at 11-2.

Well, Middle Tennessee plays @ Louisiana Tech tonight. Southern Miss has a game against middling Florida International. Tulsa has to play @ UTEP tonight.

If Louisiana Tech takes care of Middle Tennessee at home, Southern Miss handles FIU and Tulsa some how comes away with a win at UTEP, they can move into a a 4 way tie for 1st in Conference USA. On top of that, Tulsa has two extremely winnable games remaining after tonight...bottom feeder UTSA and mediocre North Texas whom they beat by 30 last time out.

If Tulsa wins out, they almost certainly tie for the C-USA title. Tonight is the key, though, because most of the top teams face each other.

Maybe its not a big deal, but I pull for Tulsa, so I pay attention.

            • Conference USA has changed so much over the years. I have a tough time remembering who even plays there...

Don't take this as me being a fan of UTEP, because I am not in any way. However, I have been following them most of this season because they lost to the University of New Orleans, which I briefly attended. This intrigued me. No one should EVER lose to UNO. I'm not even sure they have any scholarships to give to their basketball players. They're abysmal. Yet, this same UTEP team who beat Tennessee and almost beat KU lost to them. This occurred before the whole betting scandal, and I almost wonder if players threw the game and bet on UNO. Also, UNO had the #2 non-con SOS. They are the Kings of the Patsies.

I don't have a problem with VCU's players, only their Smurf coach and that loud mouth guard of theirs who made beat on free throws in the Bracket Buster game. But he's no longer around, so I guess Smurf will do.

                  • St. Louis struggling at home to Duquesne in the 2nd half, down 44-45. I have a bad feeling SLU is going to falter here in the stretch run.

                            6/7 from the field, 4/5 from 3, 16 points

Pretty sure he went off on us last year for Drake as a freshman. Not sure why he is able to play this year.
