They don't have a bad record because they're in the ACC. They have a bad record because they're a bad team.

UNI played a tougher nonconference schedule and did better against it. You can make a comparison between BC and SIU, but not UNI.

The convo that I was having I did the "comparison" from cbssports to ill st and ind state. Someone shot back with nebraska is a good comp to Ind state but there only basis was RPI

Did you really just argue that we should be comparing teams based on "heart" and "mojo" ?

You should keep biting your tongue if that's your argument. I'd run an NCAA tournament simulation purely off numbers against some vague appreciation of "heart" any day. The numbers will never account for everything, but they account for a hell of a lot more than the average casual fan can account for in the two games of a team they watch before making uninformed assumptions.

Uh yeah I did. How about we use a combination of all of the above instead of just analytical analysis? News flash: they are not mutually exclusive. That was my point. The guys in Vegas who really are good at this stuff go into intangibles you would never dream of.

North Carolina Central would probably finish in the top three in the Valley this year, but you haven't heard one damn peep out of any of the pundits touting them.

Have you went back and looked at your last years worth of posts? Any and I mean virtually any attack on a BCS school, you jump into the fray. I guarandamntee you that you cannot just sit a discussion out. The fact that you poke your nose in every discussion makes you come across as a BCS apologist. The fact that Texas Tech is a better team than Loyola really doesn't matter does it? Are they better than Western Kentucky, Davidson or UNCC? Three teams we beat by double digits.
